We are seeking an experienced and passionate Area Manager to support, mentor, and empower our Centre Leadership Teams while driving quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across services.

About the Role
As an Area Manager, you will partner closely with Centre Directors and leadership teams to provide operational, educational, and strategic support across multiple services. You will play a key role in fostering excellence, supporting professional growth, and ensuring each service delivers outstanding outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travelling to and visiting the company’s Long Day Care centres across South East Queensland.
  • Providing leadership, coaching, guidance, and practical support to Centre Directors and leadership teams.
  • Monitoring adherence to the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Supporting services to maintain compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring service performance and identifying opportunities for growth, improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Developing and facilitating professional development opportunities, mentoring programs, and leadership training across the organisation.
  • Providing hands-on leadership support during periods of transition, including occasional temporary Centre Director support when required.
  • Contributing to a positive culture that values collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and high-quality outcomes for children.
  • Demonstrating flexibility with working hours when required.

Must Haves:
The successful applicant MUST have strong leadership skills, vision, attention to detail and be able to meet the following criteria;

  • Proven experience working as an Area Manager within the ECEC sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Law, National Regulations, and ECEC professional standards and practices.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire, mentor, and support Centre Directors and teams to achieve excellence.
  • A demonstrated commitment to the safety, wellbeing, and best interests of children
  • A calm, approachable, and solutions-focused leadership style.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
  • Outstanding communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional learning and supporting the growth and development of themselves and others.
  • Minimum Diploma of Children’s Services (or approved equivalent).
  • Current Blue Card.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
  • Current Driver Licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout South East Queensland.
