Kitchen Hand roles at QCCS

The Kitchen Hand will prepare the meals for our centres for Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea. There’s no need for formal qualifications and all training will be provided but you should be enthusiastic about preparing fresh and wholesome meals for children in our service. Nutrition is a vital part of children’s development and healthy eating is part of the QCCS philosophy.  We believe food ingredients should come from the kitchen, not from a lab. From this belief came the inspiration of our own production kitchen, Healthy Cooking Company established in 2013 to provide healthy meals to all 24 of our childcare centres, in South East Queensland.

We promise that QCCS provide nutritious food that children will love. It is in their early years that children develop their tastes and attitudes about food and nutrition; hence, it is an essential time to educate and promote the importance of healthy eating.
